    good o’ 205

Monday, why are you always so busy?  You make me go crazy most of the time.  I am very thankful when you go away.

The good o’ the day?  Brekkie for dinner!  Alisha had french toast and eggs waiting for me when I got home tonight.  It was very tasty!  We then we watched House together.  It was enough for me to forget for a minute that it was a Monday.

Ok, lame blog… but I tacked on another number!!

Oh my goodness! I had french toast last Monday night too! But I made it because I was getting home for a latish meal. I did not, however, watch House. We ended up watching The Bodyguard while I worked on some excel spreadsheets for work. I didn’t ever forget it was Monday, I remembered up to the last moment I was awake and dreading that I still had 4 days to go. Wow, I wrote more here than my blog post. Blog readers, go on with your daily lives, I swear I won’t write this much here again so you are safe.

Your thumbs up reminds me of Steve from Blue’s Clues. I think of that every week. I don’t know if that’s bad or good, but that’s what it reminds me of. On another note, I think it’s funny that your work car is pretty close to your own car. Has NOTHING to do with this video at all, but I saw that when I stalked…I mean looked out the window yesterday.

    good o’ 203

Tonight we went over to my sister, Debbie’s, house because our cousin, Cheri, was down visiting from Chicago.  It was good to see her, it had been at least 10 years since the last time.  While we were over there, Ron was talking about going to the gym to work-out… I told him that gyms were a waste of money when you can just work out with things that you have lying around the house.  When he asked for an example, here’s what happened…

After that, I went to go see a movie with Mark and Jeremiah… we saw the Book of Eli.  It was so good.  If you are reading this and you have $9… use it on this movie.  We went out to Uncle Bill’s after the show for some late night brekkie.  It was a great time, except for the bathroom.  Jeremiah and I both needed to use the bathroom and since I had been there before, we went together so that I could show him where it was- the men’s room is in a very strange place at this restaurant.  As we were walking into the restroom, Jeremiah said “oh my goodness”.  My response was “are you referring to the location of the bathroom, or the girls sitting just outside?”  There were 3 girls sitting at a table just outside the men’s room who were very eccentric, almost gaga-like.  I wasn’t trying to judge them, I just wanted to know what Jeremiah was saying “oh my goodness” to.  Well, of course as I am saying this, there is this guy in the restroom that I didn’t notice who responds, “what’s wrong with those girls… they are my friends”.

I chose to not respond in any way and he left.  Jeremiah told me that he had my back if I was about to walk out of the bathroom right into a fight.  I think the girls said something, but I didn’t really pay any attention, I just focused on getting back to my table.

I really wasn’t trying to make fun of them.  I feel bad about that, because I am sure that is how that guy took it.  But I wasn’t careful with my words, so I deserved to get grouched at.

I had a comment, but it was highly inappropriate and my kids my see it and not be able to read it. So I’ll keep that to myself. You can’t mess with the crazies at Nude Bill’s. They will mess you up.

    good o’ 202

Sweet, sweet Friday… you are good.

I had a very productive day today.  I got a lot done today, and it feels good.

Tonight, we went to dinner with Dan and Debbie from church (aka the Double D’s).  We had a great time with them.  We went to this restaurant in the city close to where we live- The Newstead Public House.  The place was nice and casual, but I was pretty disappointed in the hamburger that I got.  It had supposedly voted best burger in town during 2008.  Well, I know why they didn’t win in 2009… they had competition.  The only way that burger was the best is if there were no competitors.

This is Alisha…it has been awhile since I had to fill in for Jim, but he fell asleep while typing.  He was going to drop the computer…so me grabbing it was a good thing!  I know that he is sleeping us a good thing…he had a really busy week.

    good o’ 201

Sorry about last night’s post.  My friend Vic called me after reading the posting laughing because it was number two hundred.  I glad I could provide the laugh, even though it wasn’t intended.

This morning’s meeting at S’bucks was very enjoyable, plus the coffee was good.  I think I might stop back by there tomorrow.

Today I took a few hours off in the middle of the day to go with Alisha to the doctor.  We followed that up with lunch and haircuts. My hair was getting a little out of hand.  If you are reading this Kristy… I am sorry I didn’t come to you for the haircut.  I tried to set up an appointment, but you weren’t at work today or tomorrow, and I was having a hair emergency… call me and I’ll explain- it’ll never happen again.

I finished up the night with practice for worship band at church on Sunday. I didn’t know the songs very well, so I struggled a little tonight, but that’s ok… just need to have it figured out by Sunday.

    Ok, time for bed!

    good o’ 200

Wow… 200 days!  I am really proud of myself for keeping this thing going.

I am still so tired from my skiing extravaganza that I almost postponed blogging thinking that sleep sounded so much better tonight.  I’m glad that I didn’t… I had forgotten about this being another milestone.  I wonder what the record is for consecutive days blogging is?

I am not really sure what to say about what was good for the day other than I had 2-tone poop today… half brown, half green.  It was really neat, one of the prettiest neon greens you’ve ever seen. And then I realized that when you have green snot that typically means you have a sinus infection… since my poop was green, does that mean that I had an anus infection??  Just a thought.

Ok, I am meeting a co-worker at S’bucks early in the morning, so I need to go to bed.  Nothing like S’bucks to keep you motivated!!

Did you bring anyone in to see the poop. (I remember back: That is one of your favorite things next to Q-Milk) How did the poop smell. Was it rustic smelling or more dairy farm in nature in it’s smell, We need more information to make a nonsense SWAG(Scientific Wild A$$ Guess).

I’ve had corn in mine for two days although I ate the corn three days ago.

I was too excited by the color to even think about smelling. No, I didn’t bring anyone in to see it… I was worried that it would get me fired. Took a picture of it with my cell phone, but my stupid phone didn’t save it.

    good o’ 199

I managed to get back in the saddle at work today, wasn’t easy, but I did it.

Tonight after work, Jeremiah and I met up for some Jimmy John’s before our small group.  #14, no tomatoes, extra mayo… very tasty!  Afterwards, we went stag to our married couples small group. Alisha stayed behind to spend some time with her mom and Erika… she needed the down time because every night this week is filled for her.

Small group was fun tonight.  I really like the group of people in this group… they are becoming really good friends. We spent most of our time tonight trying to determine what book we wanted to work through over the next few months.  This book was suggested, but we didn’t end up choosing it for some reason…

If I am judging a book by it’s cover… this is the kind of book I want to read!  Pictured here is my friend (and small group mate) Luke Sinak.  His wife Beth surprised him with it tonight as we were talking about potential books to cover.

Luke is a supermodel… his works can be found all over the globe and apparently most websites. Gotta love royalty-free photos!!

    • Jeff your Brother 8:26 am on February 3, 2010 Permalink | Reply

When I went to my guidance counselor in high school she said I could be a male super model, a nuclear physicist, or a computer programmer. I asked he how I choose. She said it is easy. What do you think you can do and what others might like you doing.

I said: So you think I am good looking enough to be a super model?
She said: No but I think you are smart enough to sit there and have someone take your picture.

I said: So you think I am smart enough to be a nuclear physicist.
She said: You never know once exposed to enough radiation you may be good looking enough to be a super model.

I decided not to ask anything else and became a computer programmer. Sometimes I think if I just became a computer programmer in a nuclear power plant my life would have been different.

Did Luke ever work in Nuclear power or is that natural?

    good o’ 198

Well, I made it back from CO.  It’s always tough leaving there because it is so incredible.

Travis and I had a great time skiing.  His favorite part was the tree skiing that we did (which I always love).  He gained a lot of confidence on his skis during this trip… I was really impressed.

My favorite part is when I lead us toward a lift that didn’t exist and we ended up on a golf course with no hope of finding a lift anywhere ahead of us.  So we kicked off our skis and started hoofing it towards the road that was 1/3 mile away.  No one had recently made tracks through the golf course so I guess made a guess of how to proceed hoping that we wouldn’t find ourselves in a water hazard.  The snow was anywhere from knee to waist height, so it wasn’t easy.  We finally made it to the road after a stops for snow angels, photos, rest, and a pretty steep climb up to the road.

A shuttle picked us up there after a few minutes. The driver shared a laugh because he saw us down there while he was driving by earlier.  He said, “I bet those boys are doing something stupid with a video camera”.  He was right, just not about the video camera.

Seems kinda weird that this would be my favorite part right?  Well, for as much as it wasn’t fun to go through all that work to get back to a lift, it is a memory that I will have forever (I’m sure Travis will too).  About every time I go skiing I’ll inevitably do something stupid and have to get myself out of the jam… this time I got to share the memory with someone else.

I’m glad he was a good sport about it.

Ok, I need to get back in the mode of working… we are going to be busy tomorrow!

The only thing that would have made that hair shake better is if you would have done it in slow motion. That would have been just perfect enough and just fruity enough. Great pictures, man! Jealous of the views. Not jealous of the skiing as people like me don’t ski.

Mountains just DON’T get old do they? When the sun finally peeks through the clouds here in good ol’ WA, I’m always glad to see it. I’m jealous of all the sun Denver gets though. I keep trying to talk Jeremy into moving there…Ft. Carson? Come on JER! He he he he he…glad you guys have fun and those are DOPE pigeon spikes.

    Skiing.

It is such a wonderful sport.  You get out of it what you put into it…. I get such a high level of satisfaction of looking back up a mountain that I just hurled my body down.  Makes me proud that I didn’t hurt or kill myself.

I did end up buying a helmet for myself. I have thinking about getting one for years, but it wasn’t until Rosie’s son-in-law broke his knee cap and femur that I knew I shouldn’t press my luck any longer.  Plus, it has gotten really popular. When I went skiing 2 years maybe only 20% of the people on the slopes had a helmet on.  Now it is at least 75% of skier/boarders wear one.  Look at me jumping on the bandwagon!

Tonight was fun… Rosie made us dinner (delicious) and then we sat around playing games all night- all of which I lot terribly.  I am blaming it on altitude.
