the good o' blog…

I have been super negative recently- here’s the short list…

• my job wearing me down to nothing
• not getting the job I wanted
• Alisha’s health getting more and more questionable
• having real bad sinus problems
• being terrible at weekly 3 v. 3 basketball, which makes me feel much older than 30
• oh, and God feeling incredibly silent

All of these are contributing to a lack of confidence and a spiraling attitude.  So, the desire to blog frequently just hasn’t really been there for a while, other then blogging my general complaints about the world (and who wants to read that?).

Well, I miss the creative outlet, so I am going to force it.  Everyday.  I am going all 636.benjamin on this mother.  He committed himself to blogging everyday for a year and he really seemed to enjoy it.  His theme was “the awesome of the day”- and it was awesome!

Without totally ripping Ben’s idea off, I need to learn to see the positives around me right now.  Just ask Alisha, she consistently asks me about the “good” things that happened or about “good” memories.  And my response is to sit there in silence for a few minutes thinking and analyzing  something to say.  So here it goes… the GOOD O’ THE DAY.

Today we were “Sunday People”.  Alisha had today off so we slept in, watched the Tour de France, worked on updating her blog, personalized my pandora.com radio station, went to S’bucks, and went for a long drive all over STL.  It was a great little vacation without not actually going anywhere or spending any real money.  Today was real good.
